iWriter is a handy software solution that makes central Corporate Identity templates available for Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Offering a wide range of new possibilities, they form the basis for all your internal and external correspondence. With iWriter you can for example add Q&A screens to a document, or search for information in a database or application, which you can then add to your documents. These functions are normally only available by developing complex macros.
Apply your Corporate Identity automatically
iWriter ensures that the content and formatting of your correspondence are in accordance with your Corporate Identity and are applied automatically. By defining Corporate Identity rules in a corporate-style document, iWriter will automatically apply the correct fonts, colours, logos and margins throughout. The content and formatting of your correspondence will always be correct, so iWriter will contribute to the professional character of your organisation.
Work within the familiar Microsoft Office environment
Users will have access to iWriter from their own familiar Microsoft Office environment. Experience has taught us that users learn to work with iWriter very quickly as they do not need to adopt to a new user interface. iWriter therefore has a favourably steep learning curve, with a quick and wide rate of acceptance.
Central management of Corporate Identity templates
iWriter has a Designer to develop central Corporate Identity templates, which you can use to develop the basic design of all of your correspondence. It also allows you to design specific templates for letters, quotes, reports, presentations and more. Once a template has been developed for each type of document it can be made centrally available for each department or user group with one click of the mouse.
iWriter templates for Word
iWriter is available in Word through the Ribbon and it serves as the starting point for creating all your internal and external correspondence. You will be able to choose from company or department-specific iWriter templates, offering a wide range of new functions. It is possible, for example, to add data from an address file or another database, Document Management System (DMS) or SharePoint environment to a document. Standard information fields remove the need to complete the same information time and time again and the elaborate registration module will make sure that documents can be stored centrally so they can be easily accessed in future.
Apart from document templates, iWriter also offers another practical tool: Building blocks. These are (standard) text fragments which can be entered into an MS Office document in several places. These building blocks can contain question fields and can be put together by users in steps. Building blocks can for instance include a standard signature, product description or company profile.
Excel spreadsheets can also follow your Corporate Identity
iWriter does not only work in Word documents - you can now also produce Excel spread sheets in line with your Corporate Identity. Through iWriter you will only need to centrally set elements such as font, logo and colour once. You will also be able to set a standard header per worksheet where you can add your contact details or provide an explanation for a specific calculation.
The correct signature for everyone in Outlook
With the ‘building blocks’ function you can easily add standard text fragments to an email message, such as directions or an appointment confirmation. iWriter also allows you to set e-mail signatures centrally for all users throughout your organisation to avoid employees using incorrect, old or diverging signatures. You will also be able to incorporate upcoming events or temporary announcements into these signatures automatically and centrally.
An extensive library with PowerPoint templates
For PowerPoint, iWriter offers the option to manage templates for presentations and make them centrally available. The presentations are ‘filled’ with Q&A screens which can be used to add texts, pictures and other elements. In this way you can be sure that users are always working with the most recent version of a presentation and ‘cutting and pasting’, which is always prone to mistakes, will be a thing of the past.
